Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of DocRecall (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
DocRecall lets you scan, store, organize, and search personal documents, with optional reminders and backups. Features may change or be discontinued over time.
2. Your account & passcode
- You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- Your passcode cannot be recovered. If you forget it, documents encrypted with it may become permanently inaccessible. Keep it somewhere safe.
- You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, encrypt, process (including AI extraction), sync, and back up your documents so we can provide the Service. You are responsible for having the right to store the documents you upload, and for not uploading unlawful content.
4. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service — including attempting to breach security, disrupt the Service, upload malware, or use it for unlawful purposes.
5. Plans & payments
DocRecall offers a free plan with usage limits and a paid Pro plan. Paid subscriptions (when available) renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and will retain Pro access until the end of the paid period. Prices and limits may change with notice. Except where required by law, payments are non‑refundable.
6. Third‑party services
The Service integrates with third parties (e.g. Anthropic for extraction, Google, Dropbox). Your use of those integrations is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third‑party services.
7. Availability & "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or that data will never be lost. Always keep your own copies of critical documents.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocRecall and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
